Mama Elephant: High-5!

Hello Everyone!
I'm here with another card featuring Mama Elephant's Little Dog Agenda and Congrats All Around.  I received these sets in the mail on Monday and have been wanting to play with them.  Today I was able to break them out with a little inspiration from my sequins.  I was organizing my sequins by putting them into my Tiny Containers Storage and labeling them.  They are so pretty! I don't use them enough for my projects, so I decided to use them today with Little Dog Agenda.  I think the most appropriate way to feature the sequins is by making a shaker card! :)  I started by Copic coloring my stamped images and fussy cutting them out.  Next, I wanted to use my window panel die to create shaker pockets.  I used another piece of white cardstock to trace outlines for each of the window areas so that I could distress the background, but before I distress the background I used Congrats All Around stamp set to stamp/heat emboss with Versafine Onyx Black ink my sentiment.  I used Twisted Citron, Shaded Lilac, Squeezed Lemonade, and Salty Ocean to distress the panel areas.    Once I finished distressing, I placed some acetate on my window panel and double up 3M foam to place a boarder on each of the window sections.  I then place my sequins on the distress inked areas so that I could line my window panel on top.  After I glued my Little Dogs in each of the panel areas.  :)  I hope you like my card.

Edit: I forgot to share that when I first opened and used this set two of the stampswere stuck together. I was a bit confused thinking it was on purpose then I realized they were suppose to be separate and cut them apart.  :P

Mama Elephant: Heartfelt Prayers

Mhello Everyone!
Today's feature is Mama Elephants Organic Bloom stamp set.  I LOVE this set it's so beautiful.  I don't have many floral sets in my collection, so every time I see this set mit makes me want me to add more.

I started by using my MISTI to stamp my images with Simon Says Stamp embossing ink because I wanted to gold emboss the image with Ranger fine gold embossing powder.  I used Strathmore Bristol cardstock because I planned on coloring my image with Zig markers.  I'm glad I used the MISTI because when I put my embossing powder on I had missed a few spots, so I was able to go back after I heated the first layer to re-stamp areas I missed.  I only used 3 zig markers with my image as I used a water brush to draw some color out.  Once I finished coloring I fussy cut the image and die cut a few layers of the word prayers from Gina Marie Designs from black cardstock.  I then heat embossed a sentiment from the stamp sett "heartfelt thanks", but only wanted the heartfelt portion so I cut the thanks off to use for another card.  I used foam tape for my colored image to mount onto my card base with the prayers word sentiment underneath. I double foam taped the heartfelt embossed sentiment to place above the prayers on top of the colored image.  I also added some Nuvo Jewel Drop in the color Sea Breeze.  Here is my card :). Hope you like it.

Momma Lhey: No Adulting

Hello everyone!
I'm back with another card featuring Momma Lhey's Girlfriend Stamp set.  This is a planner stamp set as Momma Lhey is known for planner stamps, however, their stamps are very versatile that you can make cards with them as well.  :)  I loved the sentiment "No Adulting Today" that I had to use it.  I used black cardstock to clear emboss a few words that I stamped/embossed repeatedly from the stamp set (Grocery, Shopping and Work).  I then stamped the little girl image I wanted to use.  The image is so cute! For me it looks like little girl with her arms cross pouting to make a stance on not doing tasks she did not want to do.  You know the "bratty" stance.  :P I thought it fit well with the sentiment.  Oh Momma Lhey... captured this so well.  Once I finished my Copic coloring I used my stitched square dies to die cut the 3rd smallest square to place my sentiment on.  This was a fairly simple and funny card.   I should sent this to my close friend, as she needs a no adulting time with her busy schedule.  Hope you like my card...

Penny Black: Hi Friend

Hi everyone!
I'm here with another card.  Today I used Penny Black's Adventures stamp set I received from my MarkerPop  prize pack that I received this week.  I'm super appreciative of what I received from the company for a challenge I participated in.  MarkerPop is a great company that has many products for the cardmaking and paper crafting world; they particularly have great Copic products.  I wanted to use the stamp set I received from them to create a card.  The Penny black set is super cute and it speaks for itself.  I love making scene cards so this set made it easy as most of the characters are doing some of outdoors.  I choose the image of a little girl at the beach flying a kite.  I stamped the image and Copic colored it.  After which I die cut it using Gina Marie Designs wonky stitched rectangle dies to die cut the image.  I made a mask for the stamped image with full adhesive post it notes  (love to use them for masks) and also masked the edges with postit correction tape.  I did did so that I could ink blend some clouds using stencils I created from Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Boarder.  I used some pattern paper from Heidi Swap to back the stamped panel.  The sentiment comes from Amy R Stamps.  I loved the sentiment inside the card.  :). Here is my card, hope you like it.

MFT Sketch Challenge 329

Hello Everyone!
Happy Friday.  :) I'm back with another card for the MFT Sketch Challenge for the week.  This is what the sketch looks like...

I have been feeling a bit under the weather and needed a bit of encouraging to get my crafty momentum going.  Sketches are the best for me to kick start some creative juices, plus they are a lot of fun to do.

Yesterday, I started working on a cheat sheet chart for card sizes because I wanted to make a 4 bar size card, but forgot the measurements and what was the best way to cut a sheet of paper to conserve. I then decided it was time to make a document of the measurements and cuts of the card sizes for I use most on to put on both 8.5x11 and 12x12 sheets of paper to put on my wall for reference.  I was quite happy with how it turned out.
I used this sheet as a guide to make my 4 bar size card for the MFT challenge.

As usual, I had no idea what I wanted to do with the card, but look through my supplies and grabbed supplies that thought would work.  I particularly wanted to use a background stamp with a natural color paper; MFT's Burlap Background was perfect for this.  Since Spring is in full effect I wanted some florals and birds.  American Crafts Welcome Spring Pattern paper and MFT's Tweet on You seemed ideal for the card I was doing for.  There is a cut out sheet in the pattern paper pack that had great pieces I could use for the layout.  I Copic colored a tweet on you bird and had a few pieces that I colored with my Zigs a while back in my stash that I used for the lay out. The fishtail paper pieces i used came from one of the pattern paper in the Welcome Spring pack and another from a scrap I had from my Lawn Fawn Lets Polka in the Meadow 6x6 pack.  The birthday sentiment came from Wild Rose Studio Stamps.  Hope you like the card that I came up with.

Tiddly Inks: For You

Hello Everyone!
Happy hump day! :) Today I will be showcasing two cards I made using Tiddly Inks stamp.  I used different color mediums for each of the cards but the same lay out.  One card I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and the other I used Copic Markers. I love both mediums and wanted to see the differences are.  I am not a professional Copic or Zig user; I just love to color.  :) I think with the right tools and of course paper anything colored with these mediums will turn out awesome.  Also, enjoying the process of coloring is always helpful.  I wanted to use similar color schemes for each color medium. Both mediums went on the paper smoothly and blended very well.  My favorite paper to use for Zigs is the Bristol Smooth.  I've also heard (from Amy R.) that Canson XL watercolor paper is also a great paper to use with it.  I need to pick up some to try.  I used heavy weight cardstock for my Copic Markers.  I'm super excited to get my package of X-Press It paper to try from winning the Markerpop Challenge a couple weeks ago.  I hear it blends like a dream.  On the Copic colored image I also used some distress inks for the grass and sky (mowed lawn, twisted citron, and salty ocean).  For the Zig card, I used flicking motions for the grass and a mid town blue with my water brush to drag the color out for the sky,   I also used left over scrapbook paper I have laying around to make the background.  I added a few drops of Nuvo Jewel Drops in Sea Breeze for some embellishments.  Hope you like the cards I made...

Tiny Ninjas: that means thank you!

Hello Everyone!
I'm here with another card showcasing Mama Elephant's Tiny Ninjas stamp set.  :) I've had this card in mind for a couple of weeks, but kept on forgetting to actually make it.  I was at work on lunch when the idea popped in my head.  I sketched it out on a scrap piece of paper so I wouldn't forget the layout.  Who would have thought I'd just forget about it completely?  I was cleaning out some of my papers in my folder when I saw the sketch and had to get it done.  This was a fairly simple card; CAS as the cardmaking world would describe it.   I used my inside/out stitched circle dies to get a general idea of where I wanted to die cut circles for my Ninjas to be in.  Once the card panel was die cut I traced out the circles onto my card base so that I could distress the background.  Before I did the distressing, I stamped my ninjas using my MISTI.  The ninjas were for them most part solid stamps, thus the MISTI was an idea choice for stamping because I would be able to stamp them multiple times to have a solid image.  After I did this, I used my Copics to color the face of the ninjas and the straps to their uniform.  I tried to use similar distress colors for the background matching the straps of their uniform.  The colors I used were Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, and Peacock Feathers. I pop the panel up with foam and heat embossed a sentiment with Rangers detail white embossing powder.  I Hope you like my card.
